- Will I be
comfortable on a mixed clientele ship? We believe so.
Cruising is a relaxed enviroment. This is your vacation and you should
be yourself. We personally have never had any issues. Many staff
members are gay and are certainly gay-friendly.

family & friends welcome? Absolutely! OutLOUD Cruises is

About Travel will provide this to you. It must be completed and
submitted to the cruise line prior to your departure.
- How does tipping
work on board the ship? The cruise lines offer a guideline
for tipping of the key personnel who will take care of you during your
cruise. A sample tipping guideline would include - $3.00 per person/
per day for your cabin steward, $3.50 per person / per day for your
dining room waiter and $2.50 per person / per day for the dining room
assistant. Specific tipping requirements will be sent to you with

board the ship? There are many activities for you to
participate in from going to the gym or spa, taking in a movie or

applicable, there will be special "group" events once
onboard and ashore in port.
- Can I dance with
other gays or my partner in the Disco? Yes! The ship caters
to a mixed clientele and variety of people who come from around the
world. Don't worry about what others think. This is your vacation and
you should feel comfortable dancing with whom you want.
- What can I do
when the ship visits the ports of call? There will be many
optional shore excursions to choose from. Anything from shopping
tours, snorkeling and diving programs, island tour sightseeing,
helicopter tours, beach trips, and more. You can also do your own
thing and make arrangements for personal sightseeing. Cabs are always
available for hire.
- What are the
cabins like? Cabins are smaller than hotel rooms. They are
very functional, comfortable, and have all the amenities you would
expect from a resort, but they are compact. All cabins offer private
bathrooms with shower stall, adequate closet and drawer space, TV,
mini fridge (some), and 24 hour room service. You will have twice
daily turn down service and cleaning of your stateroom for your
comfort.
- How do we get to
the ship? Out & About Travel / Out Loud Tours will be
happy to assist you with local transfers.
- Should I
purchase travel insurance? Yes! Travel insurance protects you
for unforeseen events such as illness and travel delay. We highly
recommend travel insurance to protect you and your vacation
investment. We will provide you with info at time of booking.
- What time do we
eat onboard? Cruises offer 24 hour dining options with formal
restaurants, casual buffet style restaurants, deck buffets with
grilled specialties, 24 hour complimentary room service, pizza, and
elegant high seas. Out & About Travel / Out Loud Tours clients
will be grouped together at the second seating for dinner, unless open
seating is being used. This is usually around 8:00pm. If you have
specific dining time preference or specific dietary requests, please
advice us at time of booking.
- What is the
dress code onboard? Most of the ships dress code is resort
casual which means casual and comfortable attire during the day and
nice slacks and shirts at night. There are two formal nights on most
cruises where black tie and formal dress is requested but NOT
required. Remember, this is your vacation and you should dress to your
liking. The ships only request is that no shorts and tank tops be worn
in the formal dining room for dinner.
- What does Out
& About Travel / Out Loud Cruises provide in group events and
programs? Depending on the cruise and whether or not it is
"hosted", we will provide you with cocktail parties, a
personable host, group dining, optional private shore excursions in
some ports of call, special goody bags and much more. The larger the
group size, the more events that will take place. Most importantly you
will travel with a friendly group of like-minded gay men and lesbians.
- What happens if
I have to cancel? Each cruise line has cancellation policies
that begin approximately 60-75 days prior to departure and start with
penalties including your full deposit. These penalties increase to
100% as you near the cruise departure. Each guest will be provided
with the specific cruise line cancellation policies at the time of
