VAIL GAY SKI WEEK

January 28-February 1, 2009

Although event info for the 2009 Vail Gay Ski Week hasn't been released (please check back often), NOW is the time to start planning your getaway. Let Out & About Travel customize a package for you during these dates.

Vail Gay Ski Week is a relatively new ski week and not as big as Aspen, Whistler or Telluride, however, it has been growing in attendance over the last couple of years. There will be great socializing, skiing, dinner parties and special events during the above dates. It is a great way to ski at America's # 1 ski resort in the company of other gay men and women.

Here is Last Year's Schedule to give you an idea of what to expect for this year:

Wednesday- Jan 30th
Martini Social at Samana Lounge located in Vail Village 8:00pm
(VGSW) Check In for package holders and free martini. Come meet this year's new arrivals and reunite with old friends.

Thursday- Jan 31st
Vail Ski Day- meet at 9:00am bottom of the Lionshead Gondola / 12:00pm Vail Mountain Top Picnic at Eagle's Nest -meet on west side of ice skating rink. There are two places for food and drinks for your dining and drinking pleasure. 8:00pm Thursday night is for you to enjoy the fine restaurants and shops in Vail Village. The Bully Ranch in Vail Village is the scene to be at for the local community and so it shall be this night. Come and meet some locals and have some fun. You must try the famous Bully Ranch Ribs, Mudslides, and everything else.
 
 Friday- Feb 1st
Beaver Creek Ski Day-No early meeting time but a 12:00pm lunch has been set at Red Tail Camp. Once again this is a full restaurant with food and drink for your dining and snacking pleasure. After the long day of sking, 4:00pm the Coyote Cafe in Beaver Creek will be hosting the group. There will be live DJ and fun for all- Apre's style.

Saturday- Feb 2nd
Snowmobile Scavenger Hunt to be managed by Nova Guides at the historic and majestic Camp Hale. This will be the most fun you have ever had at 10,000 feet. Prizes and awards to be given out at dinner after the hunt. Dinner will be included in the price and hosted in the amazing lodge at the base of Camp Hale(Pando)
12:30pm Pick up-all day and evening affair until till 7:30pm drop off. 
$395-Single Rider  / $495-Double rider
 
After a great day in the mountains its back to the heart of the village for the last night of fine dining, libations, and ski town fun. The night is yours but the entire village is looking to see your badges and welcome you with a smile.

Sunday-Feb 3rd
