Salzburg and then continue along the Danube to Linz; to Melk; and
then two evenings and two full days in Vienna. From here we will
continue down the Danube to the historic capital of Slovakia,
Bratislava. Then, conclude your European river cruise vacation in
vibrant Budapest, a famous haven for musicians, writers and artists.

Day by Day
Day 1 - Overnight flight to Prague (for US departures)
Board your overnight flight to Prague (in-flight meals).
Day 2 - Arrive in Prague
Arrive in Prague and transfer to your hotel. The balance of the day is free to start exploring this beautiful city
Day 3 - Prague
Morning sightseeing reveals why Prague is considered one of Europe's most attractive cities.
See thousand-year-old Hradcany Castle, the Old Town, the Jewish ghetto and many other major sights. Mix with the locals at Wenceslaus Square, shop for souvenirs or enjoy one of the charming cafés or restaurants. Wander along the banks of the Vltava River, relax at an outdoor restaurant, or shop for local handicrafts and art work.
Day 4 - Prague, Pilsener, Nuremberg (Cruise embarkation)
After breakfast, drive from Prague through the pastoral countryside to Nuremberg, the capital of Franconia. On the way there stop in Pilzen. Tonight gather on board for a Gala Welcome Dinner.
Day 5 - Regensburg
This morning takes you through the final stretch of the fascinating Main-Danube Canal. Arrive in magnificent Regensburg, one of Germany's best preserved medieval cities. A guided tour will show you the city's architectural highlights, including the Old Town Hall, and the Porta Pretoria gates to an ancient Roman fort built in 179 AD. Marvel at beautiful churches and one of the oldest bridges crossing the Danube.
Day 6 - Passau, Linz
Early this morning the ship takes you through scenic valleys and past charming riverside towns. After breakfast, arrive in Passau, where the rivers Inn and Ilz join the Danube. During your walking tour, gaze at this fairy-tale city founded more than 2,000 years ago. Or, take an optional full day tour to Salzburg and its most popular "Sound of Music" sights including the Wedding Church, exquisite Mirabell Gardens, the Great Salzburg Festival Hall and much more. For those staying on board, enjoy a scenic cruise from Passau into Austria and on to Linz. After dinner, take a walk through this delightful town, Austria's third largest city
Day 7 - Melk, Durnstein, Vienna
Cruise through the narrow Strudengau and reach the Wachau Valley early this morning.
A guided tour takes you to Melk's magnificent Benedictine Abbey, one of Europe's largest baroque monasteries. At lunchtime, continue through the romantic Wachau Valley, dotted with magnificent castles and charming riverside towns. Late this afternoon arrive in Vienna, the "City of Music" and Austria's magnificent capital. Tonight explore the vibrant Austrian capital on your own, or come along for an optional Mozart and Strauss concert.
Day 8 - Vienna
A guided tour of Vienna includes Hofburg Palace, the Vienna Opera House, Ringstrasse,and awe-inspiring St. Stephen's Cathedral. Then enjoy a free afternoon to shop, explore or visit one of the cities many museums or palaces.
Day 9 - Vienna
Another day in Vienna is yours to enjoy as you like. Relax by the pool on deck, stroll the city at your own pace or take one of the optional tours available, including a guided tour of Schonbrunn Palace or an evening performance of Mozart or Strauss.
Day 10 - Bratislava, Slovakia
Bratislava, known as Pressburg until 1945, is the capital of Slovakia and one of the most famous cities on the Danube. An optional
tour takes us past the Archiepiscopal Palace and the National Theatre to the 13th century Bratislava Castle which has a view as far
as the border of Austria. Other attractions include the city gates, the Baroque palaces of the noblemen, and the elegant residences
that have all survived from the days of the Danube monarchy. A walk through the pedestrian precinct, past St. Martin's Cathedral, the
Town Hall and Michael's Gate, brings you back to the ship. The remainder of the day is free to explore this bustling city dominated
by its enormous castle perched above the Danube.
Day 11 - Budapest, Hungary - Disembark
Arrive in Budapest and transfer to your hotel. Budapest is an amazing city with new adventures around every corner.
Experience one of the many spas that the city has been famous for since Roman times.

There are 2 lounges located on the Upper Deck from which you can enjoy panoramic river views, the Panorama Lounge which accommodates up to 150 passengers, and the smaller Adagio Lounge in the Aft of the ship, which can also be reserved for group meetings.

Enter the contemporary Lobby with its captivating artwork, then relax in the modern lounges and bars with comfortable furnishings. • BICYCLES: Ship has 25 bicycles on board which can be used by passengers free of charge to visit the small towns. Today, most regions offer well-maintained bicycle paths along the river.
• INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM: Every stateroom is equipped with monitor and keyboard with Internet access, English speaking TV stations, a large movie selection and numerous music programs. Our satellite telephone system allows you to call home for only 1 Euro per minute.
• THE GENEROUS WELLNESS AREA located in the Aft area of the Violin Deck includes a glassed-in fitness room, massage, beauty salon and the Adagio Lounge with bar, modern wicker furniture and French doors to enjoy the fresh river air.
• ELEVATOR: Ships have an elevator, which only very few river cruise ships are featuring. The elevator reaches 4 different levels: The Restaurant level (1), the Staterooms on the Cello Deck (2), the Lobby and Panorama Lounge (3) and the Staterooms on the Violin Deck (4).
• STATEROOMS: Inside your exquisitely decorated stateroom you'll find all the amenities of a fine hotel, with white-on-white plush bedding, a cozy sitting area, Infotainment System, hair dryer, safe, fluffy bathrobes, individually controlled air-conditioning and ample closet space.
