FULL ITINERARY:

DAY ONE.   ARRIVAL IN FAIRBANKS Your OutWest guide will greet you at the Fairbanks airport and help with your transfers to the downtown hotel. The Springhill Suites by Marriott are located in downtown Fairbanks near the Chena River and within walking distance of shops, bars, restaurants, and museums. Your trip begins with a welcome dinner in a nearby restaurant.

DAY TWO.   TRAIN TO DENALI In the morning you board train for Denali National Park. In the late 1800s, treasure seekers from all over the world rushed into the territory of the Last Frontier in search of riches hidden in hills and mountains of granite, or mingling among the aggregate in the bottom of a rust- speckled gold pan. The fever spread like wildfire through the tent cities, supply stores, saloons, and along the footpaths to the north that would one day become part of the Alaska Railroad.

DAY THREE.   OPTION IN DENALI AREA AND THE TRAIN TO ANCHORAGE The morning is free. You can chose from a variety of options. How about some flight-seeing around Mount McKinley where you can get a bird’s eye view of the mountains and glaciers? Or some rafting on the Nenana River? Maybe just kick-back on your cabin porch and read a book? From Denali we board the train again and head south to Anchorage. That evening, take some time to wander through downtown Anchorage and explore its shops, museums, and parks. Gay nightlife is around the corner in downtown Anchorage.

DAY FOUR.   ANCHORAGE If you are continuing on OutWest Global Adventures’ Alaska Adventure, you have the day free to relax in Anchorage in and enjoy the sites. If you are returning home, your guide will help you with the transfers to the Anchorage airport.
