We’re wild about Wyoming! The
spirit of the west is alive and well in Jackson, our base for this
adventure. Hiking in the Tetons rewards us with inspirational
views and maybe a moose or two. We'll likely see bald eagles while
kayaking on Jackson Lake. Yellowstone’s wonderful
waterfalls and the spectacular golden canyon are a trip highlight.
Our horse ride outside Jackson is an iconic western experience.
See all the best geysers and boiling pools while biking around
Yellowstone. We are poignantly reminded of the past while watching
the gentle buffalo graze. Relax on an morning float trip,
breakfast riverside and white water raft the Snake River gorge.
These mountains and thermal areas are surely the jewels of the
National Park system.

at Mammoth Hot Springs. Spend the night in cute rustic
cabins and eat dinner at Roosevelt Lodge.
Tuesday
It’s a high elevation morning
as we drive south to see the splendor of the Yellowstone Falls
in their own magnificent grand canyon. This is the best
scenery in the Park. Lunch at Canyon Village. We’re
sure to see herds of buffalo heading south through Hayden
Valley and often they are close to the road. This afternoon we'll
sea kayak on the serenity of Jackson Lake with the beautiful Teton
mountains as our backdrop. The views are wonderful and we may even
see white pelicans. Dinner and cabin lodging in Tetons
National Park.
Wednesday
It's hiking day so eat a hearty breakfast! Drive to Jenny
Lake and catch a boat across the lake. Hike to Hidden
Falls then to Inspiration Point for wonderful views.
We're hiking back into Cascade Canyon today with the Tetons
towering all about us. Hopefully we'll see moose near the

trail. Later in the afternoon near Jackson we'll visit the
National Wildlife Museum. Check into our cabins for
a two-night stay. Dinner in Jackson.
Thursday
An early start to meet the rafting company and a 30 minute drive
to the put in at river's edge. The first section is a scenic
float trip for 8 miles and often we see bald eagles and sometimes,
moose. We'll have built up a great appetite and a hearty
breakfast awaits us at a river camp. Soon we'll be
dressing for the white water rafting section
which is a fun 12 miles down the Snake River gorge. Return
to Jackson Hole for an outdoors lunch. This afternoon we'll
take a ski lift up to the top of the peaks and enjoy more
great views of the Tetons. There'll be free time for the
wonderful shopping in Jackson before our farewell dinner.
